The lodge offers big five game viewing, superior service, excellent cuisine, and accommodation in the form of luxury chalets and tents in the Mpanamana Concession. The lodge can accommodate 44 guests in 22 individual chalets, with units decorated in contemporary style with earthy colours/ Each unit comes fitted with mosquito nets, sports a balcony with a view, en-suite bathrooms, outside shower, air conditioning, telephone, mini-bar a fireplace and seating area. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Dinner comprising traditional cuisine is served at the restaurant or around a boma fire under the stars. In addition to the main lodge guests can also book in one of the two additional camps.
Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is a remote bush camp, set in a grove of tamboti trees and reminds of Hemingway’s Africa. Guests are entertained on early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives in open game viewing vehicles and treated on sunset drinks and stunning views over the Mohwareng Hills. Large game like elephant, rhino, lion and hippo are frequently sighted in the reserve and in between meals and drives, guests can watch the game and birdlife pass by while relaxing at the pool or on guided walking safaris through the deep bush. Group tours to the nearby village of Welverdiend can be arranged, where you will learn more about the relationship between traditional and contemporary living.
Each luxurious, freestanding and spacious suite offers seclusion and spectacular views of the Sand River while the main building houses a library containing rare African books and magnificent works of art, an elegant, African themed air-conditioned dining room, historic bar featuring photographs of the early days of the area, a large wooden safari deck where meals and teas are served and a traditional reed “boma” for evening meals around the fire. A large infinity pool also offers magnificent views across the river while guests also have a safari boutique with quality clothing, jewellery and artefacts and a small fitness facility with a steam room available.
Little Bush Camp is decorated in contemporary African-chic and comprises six luxury suites with thatched roofs and plush furnishings. Romantically draped mosquito nets over comfortable beds and beautiful wooden finishes complete the picture. Each suite is air-conditioned, has a private viewing deck and heated spa bath, as well as an en suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers. All suites’ decks sport magical views overlooking the river.
For luxury extraordinaire within the boundaries of the Kruger National park itself, Lukimbi Safari Lodge is a natural choice. This stunning safari lodge is situated in the easily accessible southern part of the Kruger National Park, where the Big Five and a wide variety of other animals and birds roam freely in their natural habitat. The main Lukimbi Safari Lodge building is characterised by a sweeping staircase and artistic fireplace with creatively engraved animals. From the elegant lounge that overlooks the Lwakahle River, you can watch the animals as they come to drink, and the nearby bar will keep any thirst a bay with an award-winning wine list and cellar.
You are collected from your hotel or establishment in Johannesburg early and travel south via the N4 motorway through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga, down the escarpment and into the scenic Lowveld until you reach the Kruger National Park.
During the long drive of 6 hours or more, you will stop for refreshments and reach the lodge around mid-day.
After some relaxing and exploring, you will depart on an open safari vehicle for your first afternoon game drive in the park.
You will be back at the lodge in time for dinner.

Expect an early wake-up call and enjoy a hot beverage and rusks before departing on your 3-hour game drive while the sun rises in the east.
On return to the lodge you can enjoy a late breakfast and choose to spend the rest of the day at your own discretion.
Be ready for an afternoon game drive with an expert guide at about 16:00, to return in time for another scrumptious dinner.

Rise early again, enjoy a hot beverage and rusk, and enjoy your last morning game drive.
After witnessing a last African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to Johannesburg. You will arrive at your drop-off point at approximately 17:00.
