Our 3 Day Explores Lodge safari is based in a small, simple, naturally luxurious and authentic safari camp that pays homage to the days when exploring the African wilderness was a pioneering adventure.
Experience the Kruger National Park with a unique safari featuring three distinct accommodations within the park. Begin with a two-night stay at the exclusive Seasonal Satara Plains tented camp, followed by two nights at the Seasonal Tshokwane River Camp, and finish with two nights at the iconic Kruger Train on the Bridge lodge.
Start your adventure with two nights at the Satara Plains camp, a nomadic retreat immersing you in a land teeming with majestic lions, ensuring an unmatched wildlife experience. Embrace the vibrant AmaShangaan culture as the camp’s design and ambiance reflect the authentic essence of the region. The Satara Plains Camp offers 30 luxury tents equipped with amenities like chemical toilets and bucket showers, blending comfort with an authentic bush experience.
Next, spend two nights at the Tshokwane River Camp, an exclusive seasonal tented camp open during the dry winter season. Located in the southern part of the park, Tshokwane River Camp offers 30 luxury tents with chemical toilets and hot water bucket showers. Set alongside a tranquil dry riverbed, this camp provides a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, perfect for Kruger Park enthusiasts seeking close encounters with wildlife.
Conclude your safari with two nights at the renowned Kruger Shalati Train on the Bridge Lodge. Situated atop the historic Selati Bridge overlooking the Sabie River at Skukuza Rest Camp, this unique lodge offers 31 rooms, including carriage rooms and Bridge House rooms. Celebrating the park’s early explorers by train, the lodge promises an exceptional blend of luxury and natural splendor.
Honeyguide Khoka Moya Camp is the Manyeleti Game Reserve’s family-friendly escape designed in a traditional African camp style. Khoka Moya is situated on both sides of a riverbed and offers an authentic bush experience without sacrificing luxury, safety or comfort. The reception area at Khoka Moya Camp is constructed from recycled wood and thatch and houses a locally crafted curio shop and the main dining area, lounge and bar area is designed to resemble the pioneer-dwellings of the early gold prospectors. Outside is an inviting pool set amidst lush lawns, a bird hide and the 15 spacious, free-standing tents. The camp is very child friendly with children’s activities like full game drives, junior tracking and more.
Kambaku River Sands is located on the banks of a dry riverbed in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve on the western border of the Kruger National Park in South Africa’s Limpopo province. The lodge is unfenced and allows for game like elephant, buffalo and bushbuck, to roam freely, making it an ideal game viewing spot. Both animal lovers and birding enthusiasts can experience nature first-hand here while staying in deluxe suites. This safari lodge is elegantly decorated with authentic African furniture in neutral colours and guests can relax in the spa area or at a swimming pool too. Game drives will take you to the heart of the bush, to spot more animals and take amazing photographs. An optional overnight sleep-out can expose more adventurous spirits to the core of the African bush.
