4 Day Lukimbi Lodge Safari

Experience a bush walk in Balule Game Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger, along with two full days in the iconic Kruger National Park. Balule Game Reserve is one of the original private reserves that make up the Greater Kruger, located adjacent to Kruger National Park.

Guests will enjoy comfortable ensuite thatched chalets, fully equipped for comfort and convenience.

A highlight of the tour includes a visit to Moholoholo to meet its renowned wildlife ambassadors, along with a starlit dinner at a boma deep in the bushveld. The safari concludes with a scenic return journey along the famous Panorama Route.

Itinerary

DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG – GREATER KRUGER

Travel from Johannesburg in an air-conditioned tour vehicle to Tremisana Game Lodge, located in the Balule Game Reserve which falls within the Greater Kruger. Settle into your chalet and relax until it’s time to depart late afternoon for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve. Enjoy a starlit dinner at Marula Tree Boma which is set up deep in the bushveld.

DAY 2: GREATER KRUGER

Early morning wake-up for hot beverages and rusks before setting off to a remote corner of Balule Game Reserve for a 4-hour guided bush walk along the Olifants River with an armed safari guide. Enjoy the sights and sounds of a real bushveld experience while keeping a keen eye on the thick bush for the Big Five and an abundance of antelope, predators and indigenous birds.

Return to Tremisana Game Lodge for a late breakfast and refreshments; relax around the lodge until it’s time to depart for the late afternoon game drive.

DAY 3: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Wake up early for hot beverages and rusks and then it’s time to depart for a full-day safari tour in the Kruger National Park. We enter via Orpen Gate and spend the day exploring the upper-south and central region. Lunch break at a popular Kruger Park rest camp (your own cost). Return to your lodge late afternoon.

DAY 4: GREATER KRUGER

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and then join your guide for a tour of Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre located on the outskirts of Hoedspruit. The centre cares for injured and orphaned wild animals and birds of prey. The 2-hour excursion includes a photo opportunity with one of the ambassador cheetahs.

Return to your lodge mid-day and relax around the camp before it’s time to depart late afternoon for a 3-hour game drive in Balule Game Reserve.

DAY 5: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
