4 Day Thornybush Game Lodge Safari

The thatched main area speaks of sophistication in the design and layout, and overlooks a waterhole and riverbed often visited by elephants, buffalo and other large game. The classic lower deck is flanked by an open dining area and a beautiful bar while 20 luxurious suites fan out from the main area. Two of them are family Suites, while 18 of them is built with magnificent river-facing views. All are totally private and stylishly decorated with large windows above the bath and giant sliding doors to the deck offering incredible views of the riverbed and animals that may visit. Each of the 18 luxury suites has an en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower and was designed to provide space and privacy. Overview

Bush Lodge was designed to allow ample space to unwind, relax and savour the tranquillity of the bush. It boasts 25 spacious, thatched suites, an exquisitely furnished lounge, atrium and intimate bar area, large covered viewing decks over the Msuthlu riverbed and two swimming pools with filtered water. Itinerary

DAY 1: Johannesburg – Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge

Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal by 07:00am, and will journey through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld to the reserve inside the Greater Kruger National Park.

During the 6 hours’ drive you will stop for refreshments and reach the lodge around mid-day.

There will be time to freshen up and relax before departing on an open safari vehicle for your first game drive in the reserve.

Back at the lodge a delicious dinner waits for you.

You overnight in your luxury suite at Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge and your deal includes lunch and dinner. 

DAY 2 and 3: Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge

You will be awakened early and served a hot beverage and rusks before departing on your 3-hour game drive to still catch some nocturnal animals before the sun rises.

On return to the lodge you can enjoy a brunch and choose how to spend the rest of the day. Be ready for an afternoon game drive at about 16:00, to return in time for another starlit dinner.

You overnight in your luxury suite at Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge and your deal includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

DAY 4: Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge – Johannesburg

Rise early, grab a hot beverage and rusk, and enjoy your last morning game drive.

After witnessing a last African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to Johannesburg. You will arrive there at approximately 17:00.

Your deal today includes breakfast at the lodge.
