Pondoro Game Lodge is located on the banks of the Olifants River inside the Balule Nature Reserve. Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal by 07:00am, and will journey via the N4 motorway through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga, down the escarpment and into the scenic Lowveld until you reach the reserve inside the Greater Kruger National Park.
During the long 6 hours’ drive you will stop for refreshments and reach the lodge around mid-day.
You will have time to freshen up and relax before departing on an open safari vehicle for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve.
Back at the lodge a delicious dinner under starlight will await you.
You overnight in your luxury carriage suite at Shalati Train on the Bridge and your deal includes lunch and dinner.
You will receive an early wake-up call and be served a hot beverage and rusks before departing on your 3-hour game drive while the sun rises in the east.
On return to the lodge you can enjoy a brunch and choose to spend the rest of the day at the pool or just lazing around.
Be ready for an afternoon game drive with an expert guide at about 16:00, to return in time for another starlit dinner.

Rise early again, enjoy a hot beverage and rusk, and depart on your last morning game drive.
After witnessing a last African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to Johannesburg. You will arrive at your drop-off point at approximately 17:00.
