Day 1 – Johannesburg to the Sekekama Tented Lodge – Afternoon Sunset Drive
You will be collected from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and transported to Sekekama Tented Camp by The Kruger Safari Co, where you will check in to your glamping site at 14:00. After some time to relax and enjoy the facilities, you will depart at 15:00 for a 3-hour afternoon sunset game drive in the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon in an open safari vehicle. You’ll have the opportunity to witness some of the park’s most famous animals, such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, before returning to camp around 19:00 for a delightful boma fire dinner and a tranquil night under the stars.
Day 2 – Full Day Kruger Park Safari Drive
Your day may unfold in one of two ways: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. The exact departure times will be communicated to you the night before, determined based on animal activity at the time to provide the best opportunity for game viewing. Your Kruger Safari Co experience will last about 7 to 8 hours, during which you will explore the Orpen-Satara area, where your chances of encountering lions are higher than anywhere else in the park. You will return to the camp with ample time to unwind and prepare for a starlit dinner around the fire.
Day 3 – Full Day Kruger or Full Day Panorama Tour
You’ll rise early to embark on a full-day safari into Kruger National Park with The Kruger Safari Co, observing active predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas while experiencing the spectacular sunrise over the park. Alternatively, you can opt for a full-day Panorama tour along this exhilarating and iconic route, where you’ll encounter unforgettable landmarks including Berlin Falls, God’s Window, The Pinnacle, 3 Rondawels, and Blyde River Canyon.
Your day may unfold in one of two ways: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. The exact departure times will be communicated to you the night before, adjusted based on animal activity to maximize your chances of exceptional game viewing. Your Kruger Safari Co experience will last 7 to 8 hours, allowing you to return to the camp with plenty of time to relax by the fire before dinner. Dinner under the stars (with a complementary glass of wine) awaits every night, providing a perfect setting to share your experiences with others and make new friends.
Day 4 – Optional Sunrise Drive and return to Johannesburg
Spend the morning at the Tented lodge, or alternatively, you can opt for an optional 3-hour sunrise drive for R1250 per person sharing in the Blue Canyon, Greater Kruger. Before bidding farewell to the Kruger, enjoy breakfast at your camp, after which The Kruger Safari Co will drive you back to Johannesburg, dropping you off at the airport between 17:00 and 18:00.
