Staying in luxury tented accommodation that exudes ‘Out of Africa’ romance and elegance, you’re promised an outstanding safari experience with morning and afternoon game drives and a magical “sofa safari” from the privacy of your own viewing deck. Hamiltons Tented Camp is situated in pristine bushveld on a 10 000 hectare private concession which is restricted to the exclusive use of safari lodges operating in the concession.
At Camp Shonga emphasis is placed on guests’ engagement in the environment. Although located in the Big Five terrain of the Kruger National Park, the camp is ideal for the guest that want to experience and gain knowledge about the region and its diverse eco-systems.
Londolozi Tree Camp is a luxury five star safari lodge located in the central region of the Sabi Sand Private Reserve sharing unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park. True to its name, the camp is raised on stilts among Jackalberry and Leadwood trees to overlook the Sand River and suites are reached by elevated, lantern lit walkways. All are elegantly decorated to merge with the surrounding environment, and the luxurious suites have spacious bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, king-size beds with mosquito nets, air-conditioning and fans, private lounge areas with minibar and a private deck with a plunge pool.
The main lodge lounges, bar and restaurant areas are under thatch with plenty of open spaces, with a large deck and swimming pool.
Each luxurious, freestanding and spacious suite offers seclusion and spectacular views of the Sand River while the main building houses a library containing rare African books and magnificent works of art, an elegant, African themed air-conditioned dining room, historic bar featuring photographs of the early days of the area, a large wooden safari deck where meals and teas are served and a traditional reed “boma” for evening meals around the fire. A large infinity pool also offers magnificent views across the river while guests also have a safari boutique with quality clothing, jewellery and artefacts and a small fitness facility with a steam room available.
