Enjoy 4 Nights at one of the most exciting new offerings in the iconic Kruger National Park – in fact, in the whole of South Africa – is the Kruger Shalati Train on the Bridge. This unique concept perfectly combines Africa’s most breath-taking natural splendour with exquisite luxury aboard a newly refurbished train. Permanently stationed on the historical Selati Bridge high above the Sabie River at Skukuza Rest Camp, the Kruger Shalati Train on the Bridge now offers the most unique accommodation anyone could imagine. What is more, this re-envisioned train pays homage to the first guests who explored the park by train nearly a century ago since it is positioned in the exact spot where that historical train would park overnight. Whether you’re in search of a one-of-a-kind adventure, an engrossing break or to simply immerse yourself in the finest of luxuries, Kruger Shalati will take you on a special, most extraordinary journey. The lodge, with its 31 rooms, consisting of 24 carriage rooms and 7 Bridge House rooms, all provide a most original experience, tailor-made to enjoy utter comfort in an awesome way.
This option lets guests choose the number of days they would like to spend on safari but split between the Kruger National Park and a private lodge in the Greater Kruger. This allows guests a good mix of accommodation types and landscapes to explore while on safari.
An experienced game ranger will show guests the African bush as it has never been seen before as they enjoy a mix of safari game drives, bush walks, relaxation time and fantastic cuisine. Guests will stay in en-suite African chalets in the Kruger National Park and in luxury en-suite rooms in the private reserves.
Safaris depart 7 days a week, pending availability.
Our Budget and Classic Kruger Safaris depart with a minimum of one person with no single supplement for single travelers. Our Combo safaris require a minimum of two persons to depart.

The lodge itself is designed to exist in harmony with nature with 13 ultra-luxurious suites, including the Amber Presidential Suite, that break with traditional bush lodge style to offer a masterpiece of artistry and innovation. Each suite features individually designed furniture, a private plunge pool, en-suite glass fronted bathroom and indoor and outdoor showers. The natural wooden sculptures by renowned South African artist Geoffrey Armstrong add a powerful magic.
