Londolozi Pioneer Camp gives you as discerning guest the opportunity to experience the epitome of seclusion in the African bush. Set amongst the shade of 500-year-old ebony trees, the camp’s three interconnected luxury suites and generous bush homestead is the culmination of five decades of design experience in the safari industry. The private suites have magnificent river views and lend themselves for perfect honeymoons and secluded getaways. The camp can be utilised as a bush homestead for private multi-generational family groups of between 6 and 12 people. Two daily game drives are included in a safari stay at Umkumbe Bush Lodge. A scenic coffee stop may be included in the morning safari, and a classic safari sundowner and snacks may be included in the afternoon drive.

Umkumbe’s main lodge overlooks a patch of open savanna, a wooded thicket, and a winding drainage line that eventually empties into the seasonal Sand River. Visitors can explore the outdoors and look for games in their spare time between excursions and meals. Guests regularly see elephants, hippos, buffalo, and antelope grazing in the river bed.
Elegant tent suites with plenty of space are located in the middle of a forest on their own elevated wooden decks and are all named after trees native to the area. This luxurious lodge has nine suites, four of which are basic, one of which is luxury, and four of which are outstanding. Elephant Plains Game Lodge opened its doors in 1998 and has been in the same family ever since. The lodge is situated on the dry Manyeleti riverbed, overlooking an open veld and watering hole. The main building houses a reception area, dining areas, lounge, bar and wine cellar, as well as a curio shop for those souvenirs. It can accommodate a maximum of 24 guests, guaranteeing a warm, friendly atmosphere and personal service.
You are collected from your address in Johannesburg in the early morning and travel via the N4 motorway eastwards through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga and down the escarpment to the scenic Lowveld until you reach the reserve inside the Greater Kruger National Park.
During the long six hours’ drive you will stop for refreshments and reach the lodge around mid-day.
You can first freshen up and relax a while before departing with a guide on an open safari vehicle for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve.
Back at the lodge a scrumptious dinner in friendly ambience will await you.
You overnight in your luxury accommodation at Elephant Plains Game Lodge and your deal includes lunch and dinner.
You will rise early and be served a selection of hot beverages and rusks before departing on your 3-hour morning game drive, with the sun rising in the east.
On return to the lodge you can enjoy a late breakfast and choose to spend the rest of the day at the pool, library or lazing around.
Your afternoon open vehicle game drive with an expert guide will commence at about 16:00, to return in time for another starlit dinner.

Rise early again, enjoy a hot beverage and rusk, and say goodbye to the bush during a last morning game drive.
After enjoying a last African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to Johannesburg. You will arrive at your drop-off point at approximately 17:00.
