The 5-night/6-day Kruger safari offers guests a genuine African safari experience, staying in rustic but comfortable accommodation in the Greater Kruger which shares an unfenced border with the iconic Kruger National Park.
Thornybush is one of the original nature reserves in the Greater Kruger National Park, with Jackalberry Lodge one of its preferred accommodation establishments. In 2017, Thornybush dropped fences between the reserve and the world-famous Kruger National Park, allowing wildlife to roam freely across the 14 000-hectare reserve. With a view on the northern escarpment of the Drankensberg mountain range Jackalberry is a place to unwind but also to experience world-class game viewing. The lodge overlooks a nearby waterhole often visited by elephants and antelope, so you can enjoy wildlife sightings even without leaving the comfort of the lodge.
Greenfire Game Lodge is a dramatically revamped ecotourism destination located in Balule Private Game Reserve. The 50 000-hectare reserve is one of the unfenced private reserves that fall within the Greater Kruger, which lies adjacent to the iconic Kruger National Park. Game roams freely between the two vast wilderness regions so you’re guaranteed incredible Big 5 wildlife sightings. The luxury safari lodge is best known for its striking contemporary architectural design, isolated location and magnificent views over the seasonally-dry Mohlabetsi River. No effort has been spared to deliver an exclusive safari experience where the ultra-chic facilities of a modern safari lodge blend seamlessly with its stunning natural surrounds.
