The first upscale tented camp that is open seasonally in Kruger National Park. From July to the end of September 2023, this camp will offer an unimagined highlight for Kruger Park fans who want to get closer to nature.
Tshokwane River Camp is a unique and exclusive place hidden in an undiscovered part of the world-famous Kruger National Park only an hour from Skukuza Airport.
It has 30 luxury tents that can sleep up to 60 people. The rustic and exclusive atmosphere of the camp, which is next to a dry riverbed, gives tourists a chance to forget about the outside world and focus on the beauty of the wild.
The Lodge only open for a limited time from the 01st July 2023 – 30th September 2023 and then again from the 01st May 2024 – 30th September 2024.
Accommodation options at Saseka Tented Camp include eight luxury tents, each with its own private deck with uninterrupted views of the seasonal Monwana riverbed, outdoor shower and pool, stylish interiors, and can accommodate two guests each. The tents are away from the main area and are ultra-spacious on permanent foundations. Glass doors open up onto your own private deck and pool, with sun loungers and chairs.
Our Ultimate Budget Kruger Safari is designed for those guests who would like to experience a safari to the world-renowned Kruger National Park, whist traveling on a budget.
You will be assigned on of 11 spacious and air-conditioned suites, with an en-suite bathroom. The lodge offers guests a choice of five Luxury, two Family and two Executive Suites, as well as two Presidential Suites enjoying their own private plunge pools. The lodge offers an enchanting view over the Makhutsi River and the spacious lounge area leading onto a deck allow the perfect opportunity to view game. You can be assured of 24-hour security, and enjoy complimentary Internet access, a library and spa.
Sabi Sabi Selati offers the perfect romantic luxury destination, comprising seven magnificent thatched suites, each with en suite bathroom and private outside shower under indigenous trees. Its historic railway theme creates an authentic ambience, while nights at Selati are quiet, intimate and just magical with the camp lit by the gentle flicker of oil lamps and lanterns, complemented by the warm glow of fires. World-class cuisine is served at dinner, either under the stars on the large wooden thatched deck overlooking the Msuthlu River, in an open-air boma or in the farmhouse kitchen.
Guests are collected from a designated address for the journey through the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld to the Greater Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga.
During the 6 hours’ drive you will stop for snacks and refreshments along the way and reach the lodge around mid-day.
There will be time to freshen up after the long drive before departing on an afternoon game drive in the reserve.
Dinner is served under the stars.
You overnight in your luxury suite at Sabi Sabi Selati and your deal includes lunch and dinner.Â
You will get up early, have time for a hot beverage and rusks before departing on a 3-hour sunrise game drive.
On return to the lodge you can enjoy a brunch and choose how to spend the rest of the day – at the pool or in the lounge area.
Your afternoon game drive will commence at about 16:00, to return in time for another starlit dinner.
You overnight in your luxury suite at Sabi Sabi Selati and your deal includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.Â
Enjoy a last early hot beverage and rusk, before departing on your last morning game drive in the reserve.
After you have said goodbye to the African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to Johannesburg. You will arrive in the city at approximately 17:00.
