MalaMala Sable Camp is situated at the southern end of MalaMala Camp in an elevated position overlooking the Sand River and surrounding bushveld and is also smaller and more intimate than the main MalaMala Camp. It is ideal for those seeking a more secluded and private safari experience since it can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests in 7 suites. Some of the suites can accommodate 3 guests sharing and each comprises an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, private WC and outdoor shower.
It is an adventure camp in a private concession of the Kruger National Park and offers guests a range of activities and elegant accommodation on the edge of the Mpanamana Dam. The camp is named after a famous elephant, ‘Shawu’, who had the longest tusks ever recorded in South Africa and roamed this valley for sixty years.
The suites are built out of authentic Buffalo dung walls and have decks overlooking the dam where many animals come down to drink during the day. Guests can experience excellent game viewing from the decks of the camp and can go on game viewing drives with expert guides.
The Village chalets are stylish yet budget conscious. Each room has some unique decorative flourishes, but all of them are perfectly appointed to ensure maximum comfort at a budget price. Each chalet is perfectly air conditioned (pleasant throughout the whole year – but really desirable in Southern Hemisphere summer months). They also have an en-suite shower/wet room, crisp clean linen on wonderfully comfortable beds, with a daily housekeeping and turn down service. Outside each room is a patio on which to enjoy some quiet time.
Kapama Buffalo Camp is the latest in Afro-chic glamping with luxurious tented accommodation situated on a lush riverbank lined with tall indigenous trees. Located in Kapama Private Game Reserve, guests have access to 13 000 hectares of pristine bushveld that falls within the Greater Kruger National Park. The modern eco-camp exudes by-gone safari luxury, with each ensuite deluxe safari tent is air-conditioned and fully-equipped for comfort and convenience. Perched on a wooden deck with stilts, the tented accommodation is built using natural stone and wood with modern décor accents of burnt red and gold. Luxury features include a Nespresso machine and mini-bar, and heated under-blankets for chilly evenings
Unpretentious style is balanced with complete comfort when it comes to each the of the six individually decorated Chitwa suites. All Chitwa Chitwa suites include a bath-tub, indoor and outdoor shower, fireplace, minibar, fan, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facility and an iPod docking station. Each one opens onto a private deck with a lake view and an own private plunge pool. The luxury suites are extra spacious and can accommodate up to two extra beds for children under the age of 12 years. The Charlsy Suite is ideal for families or friends travelling together, since it consists of two inter-leading en-suite rooms joined by a comfortable living area.
