At Saseka Tented Camp you can find a home in the African wilderness, one where you can enjoy an out-of-the-ordinary safari experience in comfort and luxury. Saseka has been described as a shining jewel in the Thornybush crown while Thornybush is one of the original nature reserves in the Greater Kruger National Park. Situated on the banks of the Monwana River, a lodge with a unique layout and balance between cutting-edge design and classical style was created to make guests feel connected to the outside environment.
Camp Shawu is the epitome of that picture of the ‘real Africa’ painted by famous explorers during colonial times.
The suites are built out of authentic Buffalo dung walls and have decks overlooking the dam where many animals come down to drink during the day. Guests can experience excellent game viewing from the decks of the camp and can go on game viewing drives with expert guides.
Baobab Ridge Private Lodge is a small and intimate private lodge with only seven private free-standing suites that sleep a maximum of 16 guests. The main lodge features a bar and lounge area, satellite television, free Wi-Fi, outdoor terraces, guest bathrooms and a large dining room while outside is an open-air boma area with a fireplace and a swimming pool that overlooks the surrounding bush and a small waterhole. The lodge is wheelchair-accessible and fully fenced to keep larger wildlife out.
Tintswalo Safari Lodge is located in the Manyeleti Game Reserve, with unfenced borders to the Kruger National Park, Timbavati and Sabi Sands. The Manyeleti is known for its game viewing opportunities with regular sightings of the Big 5 as well as cheetah and wild dog, with hundreds of bird species too. Guests are housed in accommodation themed after 18th century African explorers and authentically decorated to reflect the luxuries of colonial times. Experienced guides and trackers ensure the best safari and game viewing experiences in this area which boasts of the lowest vehicle densities in the Greater Kruger.
Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal by 07:00am, for the scenic journey eastwards via the N4 motorway through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga, to the Manyeleti Game Reserve.
The drive can take up to six to seven hours, and you will stop along the way for some refreshments and to stretch your legs. You should reach the lodge around mid-day and have time to freshen up and relax before departing on your first afternoon game drive on an open safari vehicle.
After sunset you will return to the lodge where a scrumptious dinner will await.

Expect an early wake-up call, enjoy a hot beverage and rusks before departing on the morning game drive to catch some nocturnal animals still out hunting and witness the sun rising over the African bush.
You will return for a late breakfast at the lodge and can spend the rest of the day lazing around. Your afternoon game drive will depart at about 16:00 and return after sunset just in time for dinner around the fire.

On the last day of your stay you will get up early again, enjoy your hot beverage and rusks, and depart on the final game drive.
After experiencing another African sunrise, you return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast before departing on the long journey back to Johannesburg. You will arrive at your drop-off point around 17:00.
