The first upscale tented camp that is open seasonally in Kruger National Park. From July to the end of September 2023, this camp will offer an unimagined highlight for Kruger Park fans who want to get closer to nature.
Tshokwane River Camp is a unique and exclusive place hidden in an undiscovered part of the world-famous Kruger National Park only an hour from Skukuza Airport.
It has 30 luxury tents that can sleep up to 60 people. The rustic and exclusive atmosphere of the camp, which is next to a dry riverbed, gives tourists a chance to forget about the outside world and focus on the beauty of the wild.
The Lodge only open for a limited time from the 01st July 2023 – 30th September 2023 and then again from the 01st May 2024 – 30th September 2024.
This popular 3-day safari tour takes you to one of the founding game lodges in a private game reserve that falls within the world-famous Greater Kruger.
If you yearn for an unrivalled African Safari experience, Chisomo Safari Camp on the Makhutsi River deep in the Karongwe Game Reserve in Limpopo, is your ideal destination. Chisomo Safari Camp offers a warm atmosphere, friendly staff and fine cuisine to complement the excellent Big 5 game viewing of the reserve. You will reach the Karongwe Game Reserve and the lodge after a scenic drive via the N4 motorway through eMalahleni (Witbank), Middleburg, Dullstroom, Ohrigstad and the JG Strydom Tunnel towards Tzaneen.
Experience an exceptional four days of safari at Arathusa Safari Lodge in the private Sabi Sand Game Reserve, the pristine wilderness sanctuary inside the Greater Kruger conservation area.
Allow yourself the excitement of game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles and guided nature walks with an armed ranger. Back at the lodge, you will be spoiled with hearty breakfasts and mouth-watering buffet lunches on the timber deck and outstanding three-course dinners around a blazing fire in the outdoor boma.
Guests are collected from a designated address. The route from Johannesburg to the Greater Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga is negotiated in about 6 hours and takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld.
You will stop for snacks and refreshments along the way and reach the lodge around mid-day.
Freshen up after the long drive before it is time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner will be served in the boma under the stars.
You overnight in a luxury suite at Arathusa Safari Lodge and your stay includes lunch and dinner.
You need to be awake and up early, grab a hot beverage and rusks before departing on a sunrise game drive.
You will return to the lodge for a brunch and can spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool, in the lounge area or exploring within the confinement of the lodge. Your afternoon game drive will commence at about 16:00, to return in time for a starlit dinner in the boma.
You overnight in your luxury suite at Arathusa Safari Lodge and your deal includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You wake up early again for a hot beverage and rusk, before departing on your last morning game drive in the reserve.
After you have witnessed another African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing mid-morning on your return journey to Johannesburg.
You will arrive at your destinatiob during late afternoon – approximately 17:00.
Your deal today includes breakfast at the lodge.
