At Camp Shonga emphasis is placed on guests’ engagement in the environment. Although located in the Big Five terrain of the Kruger National Park, the camp is ideal for the guest that want to experience and gain knowledge about the region and its diverse eco-systems.
Tshokwane River Camp is a unique and exclusive place hidden in an undiscovered part of the world-famous Kruger National Park only an hour from Skukuza Airport.
It has 30 luxury tents that can sleep up to 60 people. The rustic and exclusive atmosphere of the camp, which is next to a dry riverbed, gives tourists a chance to forget about the outside world and focus on the beauty of the wild.
The camp has large tented bedrooms that are 24 m2 and have front and back openings, side windows, a covered patio, and inside bathrooms. Fresh sheets, soft duvets, and warm blankets will help people get a good night’s sleep.
The Lodge only open for a limited time from the 01st July 2023 – 30th September 2023 and then again from the 01st May 2024 – 30th September 2024.

Kapama Buffalo Camp is the latest in Afro-chic glamping with luxurious tented accommodation situated on a lush riverbank lined with tall indigenous trees. Located in Kapama Private Game Reserve, guests have access to 13 000 hectares of pristine bushveld that falls within the Greater Kruger National Park. The modern eco-camp exudes by-gone safari luxury, with each ensuite deluxe safari tent is air-conditioned and fully-equipped for comfort and convenience. Perched on a wooden deck with stilts, the tented accommodation is built using natural stone and wood with modern décor accents of burnt red and gold. Luxury features include a Nespresso machine and mini-bar, and heated under-blankets for chilly evenings
Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal by 07:00am. The route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region.
Arrive at Kapama Private Game Reserve mid-day, in time for a light lunch. Freshen up and relax before it’s time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve.
Overnight at Kapama Buffalo Camp. Guests dine in the lodge restaurant or at the outdoor boma.

Wake up early (5h30-6h00) for hot beverages and rusks before departing for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool or treating yourself to a spa session. Depart late afternoon after High Tea for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve, with a pitstop for sundowners in the bush.

Head out as the sun is rising to enjoy your last game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for breakfast and be ready to depart mid-morning for the return trip to Johannesburg. The journey home takes you via the historic towns of Graskop and Sabie on the famous Panorama Route.
Arrive back in Johannesburg late afternoon; drop off at OR Tambo International Airport or a hotel/guest house in Johannesburg or Pretoria by special arrangement. Please confirm exact timings with your Kruger Safari Company representative before booking a connecting domestic or international flight.
