Chisomo Safari Camp lives up to its name (which means “blessings”) by combining memories of a bygone era with the warmth and vibrancy of a Safari in the Africa wilderness. Situated under towering knob thorn and jackalberry trees, the camp accommodates up to 44 guests in 22 luxuriously decorated tented suites draped in white linen. You will enjoy your meals in spectacular surroundings, dining under the stars or in the elegantly candlelit dining area with friendly staff attending to you at all times.
The lodge offers an enchanting view over the Makhutsi River and the spacious lounge area leading onto a deck allow the perfect opportunity to view game. You can be assured of 24-hour security, and enjoy complimentary Internet access, a library and spa. You will be assigned on of 11 spacious and air-conditioned suites, with an en-suite bathroom. The lodge offers guests a choice of five Luxury, two Family and two Executive Suites, as well as two Presidential Suites enjoying their own private plunge pools.
Kambaku Safari Lodge features eight stunning thatched chalets and three inter-leading family units arranged in a semi-circle around a waterhole, allowing you to relax on your private veranda while observing animals as they come to drink.
Our fly-in package includes return flights from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport to the Hoedspruit Airport, ideally located only 20min drive away from the Kapama River Lodge.

Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo at mid-day on a 50min flight to the Hoedspruit Airport. The flight route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you over the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region.
Arrive at Hoedspruit Airport, were you meet your safari guide and enjoy a 20min road transfer to the Kapama River Lodge. Check in for a light lunch. Freshen up and relax before it’s time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve.
Overnight at Kapama River Lodge. Guests dine in the lodge restaurant or outdoors on the wooden deck.

Wake up early (5h30-6h00) for hot beverages and rusks before departing for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool or treating yourself to a spa session. Depart late afternoon after High Tea for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve, with a pitstop for sundowners in the bush.
