5 Day Idube Game Lodge Safari

Idube Game Lodge is situated in an indigenous garden of cool, green lawns and tall trees, maintained only with recycled water. The lodge is designed to blend into the bush with rough, natural coloured bricks, while tiled roofs create a cool interior. Guests love to gather in the thatched bar and entertainment areas while the open lounge is a splendid place to relax and wait for animals to come grazing in front of the lodge. Guests can watch game from a number of viewing platforms around the camp and from a sunken hide at a dam directly opposite the lodge. Itinerary

Book any overnight safari to Kruger Park and get a 50% discount on this tour (available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays).

After pick-ups, gather at FNB Soccer Stadium in Soweto. Learn about its historical significance before venturing into the heart of Soweto, passing Baragwanath Hospital and Diepkloof. Visit Motsoaledi informal settlement, meet locals, and explore the community center.

Continue to Regina Mundi Church, Freedom Square, and the Hector Pieterson Museum. Walk along vibrant Vilakazi Street, passing iconic monuments and the Mandela and Tutu homes. Optional visit to Nelson Mandela Museum.

Enjoy a traditional meal at Soweto Towers and visit the craft market. Head back to Johannesburg for a visit to Constitutional Hill and Top of Africa due to the Apartheid Museum’s closure.
