Kambaku River Sands is located on the banks of a dry riverbed in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve on the western border of the Kruger National Park in South Africa’s Limpopo province. The lodge is unfenced and allows for game like elephant, buffalo and bushbuck, to roam freely, making it an ideal game viewing spot. Both animal lovers and birding enthusiasts can experience nature first-hand here while staying in deluxe suites. This safari lodge is elegantly decorated with authentic African furniture in neutral colours and guests can relax in the spa area or at a swimming pool too. Game drives will take you to the heart of the bush, to spot more animals and take amazing photographs. An optional overnight sleep-out can expose more adventurous spirits to the core of the African bush.
MalaMala Rattray’s Camp is tucked away on the banks of the Sand River and combines opulence and romantic exclusivity with unrivalled game viewing. As a premier safari destination MalaMala Rattrays Camp is the epitome of classic style and good taste. At this camp, wildlife safaris with experienced and proficient rangers are the number one priority with a maximum of only four guests per safari vehicle as the norm and flexible operation to make your adventures into the bush unforgettable. Meals can be enjoyed in a variety of locations including the “boma,” the deck, the dining room or in the privacy of your own suite.
At Pondoro you can indulge in ultimate luxury in anyone of the suites. All of them are architecturally designed and air-conditioned, offering modern comforts like a Jacuzzi, lounge area, outside shower, and a private wooden deck. The lodge consists of eight chalets catering only for 16 people, three of which overlook the Olifants River. Each chalet has an African theme and are equipped with mosquito nets.
You will be collected from your address in Johannesburg early in the morning and travel eastwards via the N4 motorway through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga, to the Balule Game Reserve in Limpopo.
The drive may take about six to seven hours, and you will stop along the way for refreshments. You should reach the lodge around mid-day and have time to freshen up and relax before departing for your first afternoon game drive on an open safari vehicle.
After sunset you will return to the lodge where a starlit dinner will await.
You overnight in your luxury accommodation at Pondoro Game Lodge and your lodging includes lunch and dinner.
Wake up early, enjoy a hot beverage and rusks before departing on a morning game drive to catch the rising sun and spot some nocturnal animals still out hunting.
You will return for a late breakfast at the lodge and can spend the rest of the day lazing around. Your afternoon game drive will depart at about 16:00 and return after sunset just in time for dinner around the fire.
You overnight in your luxury accommodation at Pondoro Game Lodge and your deal includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
On the last day of your stay you will get up early too, enjoy your hot beverage and rusks, and depart on the final game drive.
After experiencing another African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to Johannesburg. You will arrive at your drop-off point around 17:00.
