Our 5 Day Timbavati Budget Safari Experience safari is designed for those guests who would like to experience a safari to the world-renowned Kruger National Park and the Manyeleti Private game reserve whist traveling on a budget.
Umlani Bush Camp accommodates guests in traditional African reed and thatch huts as well as an Eco Rondavel, all naturally blending with the environment and providing modern comforts. All the accommodation options have comfortable beds, crisp white linen, soft towels, mosquito netting, insect repellent and en-suite open-air bush showers as well as standard bathroom amenities. They also offer complimentary bottled water, although the tap water is perfectly safe to drink. The rest of the camp offers a gift shop for souvenirs and a traditional African boma/dining room serving award winning meals, a pristine pool to cool you down on hot days, a bush bar and deck overlooking the nearby waterhole and an exclusive tree house 1.5 kms away from the camp for bush sleepouts.
The 15 well-spaced tents are nestled in a Tamboti grove on a dry riverbed. The main building comprises a large open bar area, infinity pool, and comfortable sun lounges from where you can watch wildlife drinking at the nearby waterhole. The tents offer an open veranda elevated on a wooden platform for maximum relaxation. They are furnished with soft leather couches, extra length beds, mosquito nets and open air en-suite bathrooms. Due to the layout and terrain, only children older than 12 years are allowed. Other features include a fan, mosquito net, reading material, bottled water and homely comforts.
Kapama Buffalo Camp is the latest in Afro-chic glamping with luxurious tented accommodation situated on a lush riverbank lined with tall indigenous trees. Located in Kapama Private Game Reserve, guests have access to 13 000 hectares of pristine bushveld that falls within the Greater Kruger National Park. The modern eco-camp exudes by-gone safari luxury, with each ensuite deluxe safari tent is air-conditioned and fully-equipped for comfort and convenience. Perched on a wooden deck with stilts, the tented accommodation is built using natural stone and wood with modern décor accents of burnt red and gold. Luxury features include a Nespresso machine and mini-bar, and heated under-blankets for chilly evenings
