Our 3 Night / 4 Day Kruger Park Treehouse Safari is ideal for couples and single travelers looking for a busy and exciting experience to the Kruger National Park.
Imbali Safari Lodge is a splendid 5-star luxury lodge that lies nestled in a grove of ancient Jackalberry and Tamboti trees on the banks of the seasonally-dry N’waswitsontso River in the iconic Kruger National Park. It’s one of three luxury lodges in the Mluwati Concession. The safari operators have exclusive access to the 10 000-hectare private concession and unrestricted access to the public roads of Kruger Park. Each air-conditioned deluxe suite is stylishly decorated in neutral colours with enchanting African touches. Large glass doors open onto a private viewing deck with its own plunge pool.Luxurious features include an ensuite bathroom with stone and marble fittings and a Victorian-style bath and walk-in shower and a massive King-size bed with mosquito netting and quality linen.
The lodge itself is designed to exist in harmony with nature with 13 ultra-luxurious suites, including the Amber Presidential Suite, that break with traditional bush lodge style to offer a masterpiece of artistry and innovation. Each suite features individually designed furniture, a private plunge pool, en-suite glass fronted bathroom and indoor and outdoor showers. The natural wooden sculptures by renowned South African artist Geoffrey Armstrong add a powerful magic.
Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is a remote bush camp, set in a grove of tamboti trees and reminds of Hemingway’s Africa. Guests are entertained on early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives in open game viewing vehicles and treated on sunset drinks and stunning views over the Mohwareng Hills. Large game like elephant, rhino, lion and hippo are frequently sighted in the reserve and in between meals and drives, guests can watch the game and birdlife pass by while relaxing at the pool or on guided walking safaris through the deep bush. Group tours to the nearby village of Welverdiend can be arranged, where you will learn more about the relationship between traditional and contemporary living. Other activities on site or nearby include bird watching from a newly built hide opposite a watering hole and plant life or footprint tracking. The bedroom tents breathes a colonial atmosphere and are built on wooden platforms, have roll-up walls and a run-around terrace for a closer-to-nature experience – even with sightings of elephants at the nearby waterhole from your room! Leather sofas, a single standing lamp and a stone-built bathtub completes the picture. The main building is more modern and boxier, with earth-coloured walls and columns built around the teak-decked dining area and pool.

Travel from Johannesburg in an air-conditioned tour vehicle to Tremisana Game Lodge, located in the Balule Game Reserve which falls within the Greater Kruger. Settle into your chalet and relax until it’s time to depart late afternoon for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve. Return to your lodge for an authentic African braai (barbeque) deep in the bushveld at Marula Tree Boma.

Early morning wake-up for hot beverages and rusks before setting off to a remote corner of Balule Game Reserve for a 4-hour guided bush walk along the Olifants River with an armed safari guide. Enjoy the sights and sounds of a real bushveld experience while keeping a keen eye on the thick bush for the Big Five and an abundance of antelope, predators and indigenous birds.
Return to Tremisana Game Lodge for a late breakfast and refreshments; relax and freshen up before it’s time for mid-afternoon tea and the afternoon game drive which takes your from Balule to your accommodation in Motlala Game Reserve.

Wake up early for hot beverages and rusks and then it’s time to depart for a full day safari tour in the Kruger National Park. We enter via Orpen Gate and spend the day exploring the upper-south and central region. Lunch break at a popular Kruger Park rest camp (your own cost). Return to your lodge as the sun sets; freshen up and join your guide for a starlit dinner at the lodge lapa.

Wake up early and join an armed ranger for a 1-hour bush walk in the private game reserve. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before departing mid-morning for the return journey to Johannesburg, travelling via the famous Panorama Route. Arrive in Johannesburg late afternoon (approx 17h00).
