Located in a 12 000 hectare private concession and with exclusive rights to some of the main roads in the Kruger National Park, Rhino post can offer truly exclusive game viewing. Rhino Post Safari Lodge is built from organic materials. The luxurious structure of stone, wood, thatch and canvas blend into the environment and provides a warm and comforting atmosphere for guests. All suites boast an elevated view of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed. Built on tall stilts above the river the suites are laid out in an open plan style with a free-standing bath, indoor and outdoor showers, a separate toilet and his and hers basin. Wooden floors and organic materials throughout the lodge give the suites a natural feel and mosaics on the floor add some individuality.


Morning and afternoon game drives start before breakfast and after high tea. Set in a 12 000 hectare private concession with qualified and experienced guides Rhino Post game drives are safe, informative and absolutely thrilling. In addition to the large private concession the lodge has exclusive use of some of Kruger National Park’s main roads after the gates closed. Evening game drives hence become park become particularly rewarding as all self-drive vehicles have left the park.

Sleep Outs

Rhino Post Safari Lodge offers sleep outs under the African stars, which are always a unique and memorable experience. Evening game drives are extended the sleep out spot, where raised wooden platforms create a safe place to lay your head among the sounds of nature. Enjoy sundowners, while a guide prepares a mouth-watering meal on the fire. With no electricity or other distractions you can sit around the fire and then fall asleep to the song of the African bush.

Set in a pristine wilderness area Rhino Post Safari Lodge has subscribed itself to a policy of eco-friendliness. The lodge is built from organic materials such as reed, thatch, stone and canvas. No concrete was used in the building process and walkways are raised above the ground. A reedbed system is used to filter the bathroom water, waste is recycled and battery power is used for lighting.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge proves that a low environmental impact doesn’t interfere with providing a luxurious retreat for its guests. A pool, fireplace, wine cellar, magnificent view and shady trees ensure the satisfaction of all guests.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge operates in a 12 000 hectare private wilderness concession in the renowned Kruger National Park. Adjacent to the Mala Mala and Sabi Sand Reserves without fencing in between them Rhino post lies in one of the prime game viewing area of the Kruger. The Kruger National Park is home to more than 40 species of mammals including the famous Big 5 and 360 bird species have been recorded in the area.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge can be reached in a regular sedan vehicle and is a 500 km and six hour drive from Johannesburg. The closest domestic Airport is Kruger Mpumalanga Airport, which is connected to Johannesburg on a daily basis.
