Day 1 – Johannesburg to the Sekekama Tented Camp – Afternoon Sunset Drive

Embark on an exhilarating safari adventure by departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport at 07:00am, in a shared minivan transfer. Traverse the picturesque landscapes of the Highveld and Lowveld in Mpumalanga, arriving at Sekekama Tented Camp by approximately 14:00. Take a moment to refresh before diving into the excitement of an afternoon sunset game drive within the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon Reserve aboard an open safari vehicle. Keep a keen eye out for the iconic Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes—as well as other fascinating wildlife like giraffes, zebras, and hippos. Conclude the day with sundowners in the bush, followed by dinner and storytelling around the boma fire back at the camp.

Day 2 – Full Day Safari Drive in the Kruger National Park

Your second day offers two options: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast en route and an earlier return, or a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before departing and returning later. Departure times will be communicated the night before, allowing flexibility based on current animal activity for optimal game viewing. Spend approximately 7 to 8 hours on a safari in Kruger, exploring the Orpen-Satara area for a heightened chance of encountering lions. Return to the camp, where you can unwind before a starlit dinner by the fire.

Day 3 – Optional  Sunrise Safari Drive

Spend the final morning at the Lodge or opt for a three-hour sunrise drive (additional cost of R1250 per person sharing) in the Blue Canyon within Greater Kruger. After breakfast, bid farewell and embark on your return journey to Johannesburg.
