Tshokwane River Camp is a unique and exclusive place hidden in an undiscovered part of the world-famous Kruger National Park only an hour from Skukuza Airport.
It has 30 luxury tents that can sleep up to 60 people. The rustic and exclusive atmosphere of the camp, which is next to a dry riverbed, gives tourists a chance to forget about the outside world and focus on the beauty of the wild.

If you’re looking for an affordable glamping accommodation in the Greater Kruger National Park, the Sekekama Tented Camp offers budget-friendly options. Accommodation include solar-powered tents, complete with beds, linens, towels, and other necessities. The camp features shared ablution facilities and a communal area for dining, socializing, and relaxation. Additionally, guests can enjoy game drives and may have access to extra amenities like a swimming pool, bar, or restaurant, enhancing the overall experience.
Embark on an exhilarating safari adventure by departing from OR Tambo International Airport early in the morning. Traverse the picturesque landscapes of the Highveld and Lowveld in Mpumalanga, arriving at Sekekama Tented Camp by approximately 14:00. Take a moment to refresh before diving into the excitement of an afternoon sunset game drive within the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon Reserve aboard an open safari vehicle. Keep a keen eye out for the iconic Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes—as well as other fascinating wildlife like giraffes, zebras, and hippos. Conclude the day with sundowners in the bush, followed by dinner and storytelling around the boma fire back at the camp.
Your second day offers two options: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast en route and an earlier return, or a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before departing and returning later. Departure times will be communicated the night before, allowing flexibility based on current animal activity for optimal game viewing. Spend approximately 7 to 8 hours on a safari in Kruger, exploring the Orpen-Satara area for a heightened chance of encountering lions. Return to the camp, where you can unwind before a starlit dinner by the fire.
Spend the final morning at the Lodge or opt for a three-hour sunrise drive (additional cost of R1250 per person sharing) in the Blue Canyon within Greater Kruger. After breakfast, bid farewell and embark on your return journey to Johannesburg.
