Tanda Tula Safari Camp is situated in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park in Limpopo, South Africa, with unfenced boundaries that allow animals to roam freely.
The camp offers luxury canvas safari tents with en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, and private decks overlooking the bush, combining authentic safari style with modern comfort.
The Timbavati region is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—along with cheetah, wild dog, hyena, giraffe, zebra, and abundant birdlife. The area is especially renowned for excellent leopard sightings.
Guests enjoy twice-daily game drives with experienced guides and trackers, guided bush walks, birdwatching, and relaxation at the camp’s pool and lounge. Some packages may include cultural visits or photographic safaris.
The dry season (May–September) offers the best wildlife sightings as animals concentrate near waterholes and vegetation is sparse. The summer months (October–April) bring lush landscapes, newborn wildlife, and rich birding, though with warmer temperatures and occasional rain.
