Child Policy
Dulini Leadwood Lodge accommodates children aged 12 and above, or any age if the entire lodge is booked exclusively.
Child Policy and Rates
Many of the accommodation establishments that Kruger Safari Co books for tours have a strict child policy. It is your responsibility to disclose the age of each child in the travelling group to the Kruger Safari Company agent and confirm that he/she is the appropriate age for tour accommodation. Kruger Safari Co cannot be held liable for an accommodation establishment refusing entry to an underage child where a child policy is strictly enforced.
Kruger Safari Co reserves the right to request a copy of a birth certificate for any child in the tour group who is confirmed to be 12 years or younger.
A children’s rate is available on request. Not all accommodation establishments offer a reduced rate for children but where applicable, Kruger Safari Co will confirm in writing at what rate a child 12 years and younger will be charged.
Booking Procedure
Confirmation of a booking is made in writing via email once it is agreed upon by the client and the Kruger Safari Co. agent. A 100% non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of written confirmation of a booking. Where applicable, the balance of payment of a booking is required 40 days before departure. All travellers will be required to complete our online booking form to ensure that Kruger Safari Co, the reserved establishment and all service providers have the correct information required.
No quotation issued by Kruger Safari Co and accepted by the client (provisional or final), or booking made (provisional or final) shall be binding until a final invoice has been issued and full payment received by Kruger Safari Co.
Payment Policy
All Kruger Safari Co require a 100% non-refundable deposit to the value of 50% of the total tour price. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking of a tour. Full payment of the non-refundable deposit is required on written confirmation of the booking.

Getting to Dulini Leadwood Lodge
By Air
For guests travelling by air, there are several convenient options. Commercial flights can be taken to either Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) in Nelspruit or Hoedspruit Airport. These airports are serviced by regional airlines such as SA Airlink, offering scheduled flights from major cities like Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Upon arrival at either airport, road transfers to Dulini Leadwood Lodge can be arranged, providing a seamless transition from air travel to the lodge. This confirms that guests can quickly begin their safari adventure with minimal hassle.
For a more exclusive experience, air charter flights can be arranged directly to an airstrip within the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. These charter flights from Johannesburg take approximately 90 minutes and offer a direct route to the reserve. Upon landing, a safari vehicle will be waiting to transfer guests directly to the lodge.
Charter flights are typically scheduled for the morning or early afternoon, allowing guests to participate in an afternoon game drive on the day of their arrival. It is important to note that luggage on these charter flights is generally limited to 20kg per person.
By Road
Guests can choose to self-drive from Johannesburg, which provides the flexibility to enjoy the scenic route at their own pace.
To self-drive from Johannesburg, start by taking the N12 highway from Johannesburg or the N4 highway from Pretoria to Nelspruit. From Nelspruit, take the R40 to Hazyview. At Hazyview, turn right onto the R536 towards the Paul Kruger Gate. After approximately 34 kilometres, look for signs indicating the private game lodges on the left side of the road.
Turn left onto the gravel road indicated for Dulini (Exeter) Game Reserve Lodges. Travel approximately 3.5 kilometres, passing a school on your left. At the signpost, turn left and drive another kilometre to Newington Gate.
At Newington Gate, guests must pay an entrance fee of R160 per vehicle and R40 per person (cash only). These rates are subject to change.
Once inside the Sabi Sand Reserve, follow the signs, passing turn-offs to Savanna, Castleton, Singita, and Idube. At the T-junction, turn right towards Dulini Leadwood Lodge.
The entire journey from Johannesburg to the lodge typically takes around six hours, including a scenic drive through South Africa’s picturesque landscapes. This route provides an excellent opportunity to delight yourself in the beauty of the region before arriving at the luxurious and welcoming Dulini Leadwood Lodge.
