Day 1
Our Kruger Park Nkambeni Tented Lodge Safari departs from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus terminal in a minvan by 07:00am.
You travel East passing picturesque landscapes and farmlands on route to our lodge near Kruger, enjoying a comfort stop along the way.
After check in you will have time to relax and freshen up before boarding an open safari vehicle for your first safari drive in the Kruger National Park.
After your safari game drive you return to the lodge where you can unwind, have drinks and relax.
Day 2
Your safari will begin before sunrise, since this is the best part of the day for game viewing. This is also the best time of day to see predators.
The Mpumalanga province, which means “place of the rising sun,” is South Africa’s first province to see the sun rise.
After a short drive from the lodge into the national park, you enter the park gates and your guide will take you to the best areas to find wildlife including the Big 5 and plains game.
The lodge will provide breakfast packs, and your guide will stop after about 3 hours for breakfast, a bathroom break, and the opportunity to purchase coffee.
You then continue with your safari through the variety of eco zones in the Kruger National Park, each zone with its own set of wildlife.
Along the route, you will visit rivers and watering holes, as well as plains and Bushveld regions.
You will then stop for lunch at a rest stop, where you will be responsible for your own meal. This also gives you time to do some souvenir shopping or enjoy a cold beer!
The safari will then continue back towards the lodge, arriving around 15.30 – 16.00, with time to relax or swim, before enjoying a delicious dinner.
Day 3
This is the last day of your Kruger safari Experience. This morning you have a choice between another sunrise game drive or relaxing at the lodge. This is an optional game drive and for your own account (payable at the lodge).
Just before 12 noon the lodge will transfer you to the shuttle pickup point in Hazyview. You will then return to Johannesburg with the transfer shuttle. Comfort stops on the way. Drop off at Johannesburg OR Tambo airport around 5.30 pm – 6 pm.
